Hornby was, and for the most part, still is a place of refuge for the many
different characters that managed to land here. The writers, the painters,
the business people, gardeners, handcrafters, farmers. All find a place
for their talents. “Happiness is finding what you want to do, and
the privilege of doing it.” My escape was from farming in Saskatchewan
but still able to keep farming. Raised a few chickens and a couple of ducks
-exchanged raising sheep for spinning the wool.
