Tom Knott

Tom began photographing thirty-five years ago, with the conscious intention of expressing feelings, thoughts and intuitions which can only be manifest as images. The acts of photographing and image construction bring him into intimate relationship with both the world of appearances and the world of the spirit, to a place where the distinction between them vanishes. Digital imaging overcomes the limitations of conventional photography to reach into this place. Tom is a long time resident, fine woodworker, and very active in the community. His work is represented in numerous private collections, Art Bank and the Vancouver Public Library. Tom also produces work made from local wood that have function, beauty and grace.

Tom’s work can be found at The Island Gallery.
